Set a windmill's shadow from the center of Prince Albert, is Amy's Place - a bright, Victorian-style house with enough space to sleep six of your nearest and dearest.
Each of the three bedrooms are air-conditioned (a life essential during the sweltering summer months) and spacious, with thick fluffy towels and crisp percale linen.
The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with an Edwardian-style bathtub, where you can soak and de-stress to your heart's content. The other two rooms share a bathroom with a shower.
The kitchen, living and dining area is open-plan and light and airy, thanks to the high ceilings and generous windows. Expect to find basic supplies such as coffee, tea, fresh milk, juice, muesli and homemade rusks upon arrival – a real treat after a long day on the road.
Amy's sunny voorstoep is the spot to sit back and relax with a good book, a cup of Earl Grey, or someting a little stiffer, while a tasty Karoo lamb chop and bottle of red wouldn't go amiss on the stoep's sturdy wooden dining table.
