Literally two steps off the beach at Kei Mouth, Clifton Cottage is the stuff of classic beach holidays. It's the kind of place where you'll drift off to the beat of crashing waves, where you'll spend your days barefoot, where a sprinkling of sand in the house is all part of the decor.
It's s a laid-back abode, with cosy living space, equipped kitchen, big lawn and braai area, and the sea so close you can simply roll out of bed for your morning dip.
Sleeping-wise (which you'll be doing a lot of), the cottage has three bedrooms: a main double ensuite, a second room with twin beds, and a third with a bunk bed and single.
Indoor entertainment comes in the form of DSTV and that Tolstoy novel you've been meaning to finish for the past five years.
Pull open the sliding doors and you're on the patio and braai area, and then the lawn, and then the beach.
Off to the other side of the garden there's the river and lagoon. In other words, from your vantage point behind the braai on the patio you'll command a near 180-degree view of the kids frolicking below. That's parenting in style!
A relaxed vibe, rooms enough for a family (or two at a squeeze), and a beachfront location second to none, Clifton Cottage has your name splashed all over it for that next 'Kei beach holiday.
