Budget Getaways Review
In most cases "glamorous" and "camping" tend not to be synonymous. However, in the case of Coral Tree Campsite, the experience comes pretty close to 'glamping'.
Less than 5km from Magoebaskloof, on the Herb Cottage Farm, access to this pretty outdoor spot is best achieved via bakkie or 4x4.
The campsite is booked exclusively and can accomommodate eight happy campers. It's an experience far removed from your average municipal offering, as it comes pre-packed with a private kitchen, lapa with braai, solid wooden table and benches, a neat little plunge pool, and loads of open space.
The semi-outdoor ablution area boasts a shower and bath and awesome views over the Magoebaskloof Forest.
As for on-site activities, there are loads! Swimming, birdwatching, short hikes, guided tours of the farm's herb gardens and avocado plantation... Outside the gate, the greater Magoebaskloof area offers interesting shops, dollops of charm, restaurants, fishing and mountain biking.
With close proximity to the center of town, comfy camping and access to wide open spaces, Coral Tree Campsite gets the nod.
