Offering a sizable slice of village charm, Fox’s Hill is set in a gorgeous country garden, right in the heart of town, making an ideal stop for couples looking for a lavish overnighter in Dullstroom.
Scouting around Tripadvisor, the general feedback for Fox’s paints an appealing picture. “Best kept hideaway in Dullstroom.” “Truly magical and memorable.” “Quaint, beautiful and neat.”
Four classically decorated rooms are on offer, namely Fox’s Hill, Fox’s Lair, Fox’s Loft and Fox’s Meadow. All sleep two.
The smallest of the four, Fox’s Lair, is tucked away off the garden with its own entrance. Open-plan with a double bed and Victorian bath, the room has a heater, DVD player and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Fox’s Loft is decked with a Queen bed and open-plan bathroom with Victorian bath. The balcony overlooks the garden and there's a fireplace for added ambiance.
Fox’s Hill is a separate apartment alongside the main house. The roomiest in the lineup, you’ve got a cozy living room centered around the fireplace, with Queen bed and ensuite bathroom on mezzanine level.
Last up is Fox’s Meadow. This romantic suite offers a large fireplace in front of a Victorian bath, with a four-poster bed adding extra cream to the romantic vibe.
Apart from appealing garden setting and comfortable common lounge area, the guesthouse has secure off-street parking.
The short walk into town and the proximity to restaurants and coffee shops, pegs Fox’s Hill among the best of the urban bunch.
