If heaven is the wide expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, then this spacious Betty’s Bay pad is your gateway to weekend paradise.
With little more than a stretch of lawn and rock pools separating you from the sea, Heaven’s Door makes for a right-on-the-sea escape for the family… with or without gran and gramps to keep an eye on the kids (just don't expect to spend your weekend partying it up - peace and quiet is the order of the day).
Worth mentioning is the fact that the upper storey of the house is not available for use by guests, but you're assured that there would not be anyone occupying this section during your stay. The house sleeps six in three bedrooms. The main of these is ensuite, while the other two share a central bathroom and feature twin beds and a double, respectively.
The lounge is kitted out with comfy couches a TV (DSTV Limited channels) and DVD player and comes with views stretching onto the lawn and sea beyond.
You’ve got a separate dining area with eight-seater table, which leads into a kitchen.
The decor and furnishings are pretty child-friendly and unpretentious.
Head outside and you’ll find a patio and built-in braai area. Step down onto the lawned garden and from here it's straight down to the rocky waters edge. Not a bad perch to take in an African sunset.
Drag yourself from the views and you'll discover there’s ample in the way of outdoor action in and around Betty’s.
Nearby Silver Sands and Hangklip Dunes offer wide expanses of beach, while Jock’s Bay is great for kids. There are also a number of hiking and mountain biking options in and around the Kogelberg Mountains rising up behind the village.

"We had a lovely time at the house in Betty's Bay. The property is situated right on the rocks and we loved being so close to the sea. We were welcomed by the property manager who was warm and friendly. We needed a few extra things while we were there and she was very helpful. The house was very cold as there are no rugs, but we spent lovely evenings around the fireplace playing cards and board games. We were also happy to find a few DVDs in the house for the kids to watch while we were cooking. It must be a wonderful place to visit in the summer months, so we will definitely be back."
