Wanting to get away to a remote spot in the Berg? This one's for you.
Tucked deep in the mountains between Little Switzerland and Alpine Heath, Ingwe is a charming timber cabin located along a 4x4 track on the Oliviershoek Pass.
A rustic little number, yet well equipped and amply comfortable, the views are gobsmacking and likely to keep you glued to the deck.
The cabin sleeps four in a Queen and twin room. For the tagalongs there are two bunk beds in the living room.
The bathroom is shared and comes with bath, shower and loo. All your towels and bedding are provided.
The living area is open-plan to an equipped kitchen with dining table. The lounge sports a scattering of comfy couches and a fireplace to keep the mountain bite at bay.
Step outside to the covered deck and suck in those gorgeous views. Situated alongside next to a gigantic boulder is your sheltered lapa and braai area.
The cottage is off the grid (just like back home!), meaning it's solar lighting, gas fridges and a gas geyser all the way.
As a guest you have free range over Ingwe Farm - long bracing walks, odds on spotting eland, bushbuck, mountain reedbuck and an abundance of birdlife. There’s also horse riding on offer and fly-fishing in the new farm dam.
