Intaba Thulile, meaning 'peaceful mountain', has a distinctly bushveld vibe to it. On offer is 450ha of private game farm sans the big predators - meaning you can get out of the car and immerse yourself in a good spread of outdoor activities.
The accommodation takes the form of six timber chalets with soothing vistas over the surrounding mountains.
Sleeping four apiece, the chalets come with Queen and twin rooms, a shared bathroom with bath and shower, an equipped kitchen and a spacious timber deck with built-in braai - cue the G&Ts!
A communal swimming pool with loungers and shady thatch is an easy stroll away - no prizes for guessing where we will find you on a sweltering summer day.
If you’re up for exploring, the surrounding hills and plains offer hiking trails (one to the nearby mountain top), and mountain bike routes - both with good odds of spotting giraffe, warthog, zebra and antelope..
With a choice of active and chilled options in a raw bushveld setting, there's somethng for everyone at Intaba Thulile.
"The stay at Intaba Thulile was great. In the end I was almost sorry to leave. Even though we arrived very late at the chalet, upon arrival I found myself greeted by warm smiles by the host, Joanne. Intaba Thulile is an awesome place if you looking for peace and tranquility.. (the name 'Intaba Thulile' meaning peacful mountain, does do justice to the place. Thank you Joanne for the great experience. Will definately be back in the not to distant future."
