Budget Getaways Review
Lavender Lake Farm is set against a backdrop of gentle hills, intersected by mountain streams and a trout dam at the ready for your fly fishing escapades.
Tucked away in a glade of trees, with flowing lawns towards the farm dam, The Cottage offers a casual country vibe and oodles of space for both you and your hound.
Sleeping a maximum of six, The Cottage is well suited to couples sharing or a family. The two large and nicely decorated double bedrooms are ensuite, while an additional two friends/kids can bunk down on single beds in the living room.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped and open-plan to a cozy lounge and dining area with fireplace to cut the winter chill. Sliding doors open from here to a wrap-around patio with views over the garden (fenced for Fido) and the dam.
Your mod-cons come in the form of TV with DSTV and a DVD player.
Adding to Lavender Lake’s superb setting is a good platter of activities both on and off the property. Fishing, swimming and strolls around the farm are on tap, while a good choice of country restaurants and pubs, cycling routes, horse riding trails and health spa’s can be found within a five minute drive.
Summing up: Friendly farm vibe, great setting, lots to do and über-comfy accommodation. All the makings for a satisfying Magalies hideout.
"We had a lovely stay at Lavender Lake Farm. Melanie was a wonderful host and made us feel at home. The cottage is beautifully furnished and comfortable. I would recommend a visit there. Our dog Guiness also had a lovely time as she was allowed to join our holiday as well."

"It's the perfect retreat for couples and friends. Everything you need in one spot. Comfortable, easy to wind down and relax and beautifully managed. There are few little gems to escape to that are not far from home but in an ideal spot to chill properly; this is definitely one."
