If the thought of a family resort holiday is enough to give you an attack of the heebie-jeebies, Little Rock Holiday Resort might be the cure.
Lying no more than three kays from the center of town, Little Rock offers so much family fun and adventure you will be hard pressed to find any reason to leave the resort premises.
For the die-hard campers among you, there's a 32-stand camp/caravan site. All 32 sit under shady trees and are fitted with a braai area and power point. The loo block is a short stroll away, and features flush toilets and hot- water showers.
Several notches down the sissie ladder are Little Rock's 13 self-catering chalets. These range in size, from two-to eight-sleepers. The general standard is good, with comfort and decent furnishings the order of the day.
Each chalet comes with own bathroom and fully-equipped kitchen, as well as a cozy braai area for the evening dop and chop. There's also the bonus of an on-site restaurant and sports bar, which will ease the logistics. The menu is rumoured to be delish.
Little Rock should be your first port of call if you're traveling with the rugrats - the kiddies activities on offer will keep them occupied from dawn to dusk and beyond. Volleyball, paintball, trampolines, pony rides, a playground, a huge swimming pool, the list goes on.
Little Rock Holiday Resort gets the BG stamp of approval in the Family Fun Getaway department.
"This is the second or third time we have stayed at Little Rock. It is perfect for our needs, we have contracts in the area from time to time and this works perfectly for my crew and I. Staff are friendly, pub serves good food after a long days work. There is also ample parking for our bakkies and trailers. We will be back for sure. "

"The resort offers a richness of birdlife and it is wonderful to wake up to the call of the birds. The resort is quiet and ideal for a breakaway from the city rush and ideal for a retreat or a day trail along the hill slope. We really enjoyed it."
