Luxurious farm living in the heart of town seems like a bit of a contradiction - but this is exactly what you can expect from Miller's House.
A four-star graded Karoo Cottage offering space, serenity, and spectacular views, Miller's House is a perfect pick for anyone hitting the Prince Albert area.
The earthy tones and comfortable furnishings are complemented by original clay walls and reed ceilings. The two spacious bedrooms offer a King or twin beds, as well as a sleeper couch for the kids. Each of the rooms has its own private lounge area with DSTV.
The ensuite bathrooms are luxurious and have both corner bath and separate shower. The rooms open onto the patio and its stunning Swartberg scenery.
If you wake up feeling peckish, you can choose to have breakfast of yogurt, cereal and fruit juice. Alternatively, the kitchen is well equipped and fully stocked with all the basics, such as coffee, tea, fresh milk and homemade rusks. Alternatively... there's a lovely farmstall restaurant a short stroll down the road.
Miller's House is located on 180ha of unspoilt Karoo veld. We would recommend a late afternoon sundowner picnic atop the koppie, where you can watch the day fade into golden dusk.
For an out-of-town feel with the convenience of um, being in town, Miller's House is the place.
"What a fantastic surprise. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly wish for. My highlight was watching the sun rise over the mountain and reflect on the pond, and the second best surprise was the amount of stars in the sky, MANY more than what we saw in Sutherland just a few days earlier. What a treat! We were somehow expecting a B&B, so were surprised that it was a self- catering cottage but there are so many places close by that it was not a problem at all."
