Dramatic mountain vistas, decent decor and a setting second to none, Ongeag Guest House is a well appointed double-storey sandstone abode a mere two kays from Clarens CBD.
Judging by the happy guest feedback, you'll be off to a good start basing yourself here. “Stunning views of the mountain and countryside from the top and bottom floors.” “What a wonderful place. Sleeping up to nine guests, the house has three airy bedrooms. The upstairs main ensuite with Queen bed and extra double sleeper couch opens to a balcony and a vista of surrounding cliffs.
The second double room branches off to a small lounge and another balcony and more of those views.
Down on ground level, the third bedroom sports a double and single bed and a balcony.
The large windows and sliding doors in the living area let in plenty of that awesome landscape, as does the covered patio area.
There’s an open-plan, equipped kitchen and a dining area with fireplace.
Mod-cons and home comforts come in the form of underfloor heating, aircon (upstairs bedrooms) and DSTV.
The verdict: A rural setting that's bound to impress, plenty of natural sunlight, a warm and friendly vibe, and a generous dollop of comfort all add up to a fine group option on the Clarens rim.
