Comfortable garden cottage near Plett's Robberg Beach
Budget Getaways Review
You don’t have to strut around in gold or own a polo horse or Prado-Prada combo to enjoy a Plett holiday…doll. Seriously - there are affordable options well within reach of us average Joe Soaps. Pachena Cottage is but one.
Owned by long time Plett residents, Joan and Roger Holmes, Pachena is tucked away in a quiet street, a few hundred meters from Plett’s Blue Flag Robberg Beach.
It's a tastefully-decorated garden cottage, with all the toppings you’d expect to find on a typical Plett platter. Crisp percale linen adorns the Queen bed, white bath sheets are draped over the heated towel rail, a private garden with braai area - various elements that add up to a nice level of comfort.
The cottage sleeps two, making it ideal for couples or a family with a small child - a double sleeper couch in the lounge is available to this end. The bedroom is light and spacious, with ensuite bathroom featuring both bath and shower.
The fully equipped kitchen is open-plan to a four-seater dining area and living room, where you’ve got the full range of DSTV channels.
The cottage has its own private entrance and off-street parking, allowing you to come and go as you please.
Rates vary by season, with best value to be had between May and November.
With central location, easy access to the beach, Robberg Nature Reserve and a host of other Plett musts, Pachena Cottage is a pocket-friendly option for couples and starter families keen on a bit of the good life.
