Two minutes away from Haenertsburg's CBD, and nestled right at the edge of the forest is Pinella Cottage - an enchanting Hansel and Gretel retreat and useful base to the Haenertsburg and greater Magoebaskloof.
Pinella Cottage sleeps six in one double room and a large loft with a further two double beds. The two rooms share a bathroom and separate toilet, making Pinella best suited to a family.
The fully-equipped kitchen is clean and modern, and the iving area comes with a snug fireplace.
Outside there's a braai area with breathtaking forest views (with possibility of fairy sightings) - wood is supplied for both the braai and fireplace.
The river is literally a stone's throw away, with little row boat provided for guaranteed family fun. Tip: bring own own swimming towels.
Comfortable and stylish, Pinella is the stuff of happy family memories.
"Our stay at Pinella Cottage was in a word: Magical. Think Hansel and Gretel Cottage, but fortunately without the witch. Our kids absolutely loved it and left adamant that they had seen the odd fairy during our stay. The view from the braai area alone is well worth the visit and we had one of the most unforgettable braais under the stars on the Saturday night. I would recommend Pinella Cottage to anyone as the Cottage itself is very quaint and well decorated. We will definitely be back!"
