Whether you’re after a convenient stopover en route to the Northern Drakensberg, or need a base slightly closer to town, The Drakensberg Terrace offers a tranquil oasis in a rambling garden setting on the outskirts of Bergville.
A charming abode with a deep wraparound verandah, The Drakensberg Terrace has three spacious rooms, all of them ensuite and with French doors leading out to the patio.
Common to all the bedrooms is crisp linen and towels, TV’s with DSTV, WiFi, tea and coffee making goodies, and if you so desire, an optional scrumptious breakfast to kickstart your day.
Staying indoors, there’s a comfortable living area to shloomp around in, while the outside terrace is a good spot to make some headway on that airport novel you've been meaning to read but can never find the time to do so.
During summer, the swimming pool will be a big pull, while the kids can frolic on the lawns and dedicated play area.
Close enough to town to grab a bite in the evenings, charming hosts (from what we read) and a useful location just off the R74, The Drakensberg Terrace cuts a happy balance between urban and rural Berg.
"Our stay at The Drakensberg Terrace was fabulous. Only sad we couldn't stay longer. Very friendly owners with two adorable little children and a house full of dogs. Very welcoming and accommodating. It was easy to feel at home with great service. The bathroom in the closet will be one of our favorite memories of this vacation."

"We stayed only for one night, but we really wanted to stay longer. It�s a beautiful place! with lovely owner! Very nice and clean bedroom, they were flexible enough to add a mattress for our toddler. Lovely dogs, nice playground area. There was a small short-circuit, and they fixed it promptly. They had the right attitude, amazing service. Can�t say enough, wonderful place!"

"Dit was 2 wonderlike dae wat ons oornag het in hierdie pragtige gastehuis met sy rustige atmosfeer en omgewing.. Heerlike smaakvolle ontbyte is bedien.Die kamer was baie skoon en netjies.. 2 Wonderlike eienaars met hul kleingoed en pragtige honde wat jou hart sal steel. Definitief n plek wat ek vir enige een kan aanbeveel."

"The hosts just floored us with their hospitality. An excellent place to stay. The best part is you feel at home away from your home when you are here. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. You would be treated to a scrumptious breakfast in the morning. Above all if you are a dog lover(well I am a die hard dog lover) this place would be a heaven for you. They have 5 lovely dogs who would do anything to make you happy. I'm definitely going back to this place next time when I'm in Drakensberg."
