Set on a quiet gravel road on the outskirts of the village, Zonnenstrahl Guest House is a package of old-world charm and relaxed vibe. As such, it's ideal for families or a group of friends seeking a simple and hassle-free base.
The house retains much of it Karoo charm - creaky timber floors, high ceilings, sash windows and shutters, a voorstoep framed in broekie lace.
Bed-wise, you’ve got four spacious rooms. The main Queen is ensuite, with the balance featuring either Queen or twin beds, and a shared bathroom.
The living room and dining area has a Jetmaster and opens via double doors onto a lush garden, with plenty of shade for the blaze of summer.
The kitchen is fully equipped, though you'll more likely find yourself braaing al fresco on the stoep.
The Owl House, the brewery and the local eateries are all within an easy walk along dusty dirt.
