Take a step back in time and sleep in a historical monument built in 1795 or the old goat cottage on this exquisite piece of farm property that has been lovingly restored. We practice regenerative farming and encourage biodiversity. This is a place to relax, reconnect and recharge. It is our happy place where we embrace all forms of wildlife and love our menagerie of domestic pets from pigs to turkeys to horses and lots of dogs. Not for you if you don’t like animals, if you do it’s paradise. The goat cottage is an additional cottage that sleeps a family of four in an open-plan setting with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Both homes have braai pits and privacy but lend themselves to two families sharing or a group of friends enjoying the entire space to themselves. Our personal home is close by. Our animals roam freely in the garden providing endless entertainment. The town is a 5-minute drive away.
Standard Self-catering Homestead - Comprising 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms, the rooms are furnished with king or queen-size, a day bed and cot on request. Bathrooms are fitted with shower and bath, or shower only. Kitchens have stove or induction plate, and a dining area.
Zeekoegat Homestead Goat Cottage - Air-conditioned, open-plan cottage contains a queen-size bed, 2 single beds, Wi-Fi, and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, a fridge, a tea and coffee station, and meals can be enjoyed in the dining area.

Zeekoegat Historical Homestead is situated 5 km from Riversdale at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains with the Sleeping Beauty mountain peak providing a distinctive backdrop for the town. In winter months, the surrounding areas come to life with floral displays. Heidelberg is 30 km away, and Stilbaai 46 km away.
