Budget Getaways Review
The Forest Cottages at Arch Rock really offer the best of both worlds. Situated in a lush forested area but only a few steps from the breathtaking Keurbooms beach, these cottages offer tranquility and quietude like no other. The sea views aren’t half bad either.
The seasonal rates at Arch Rock are a little over budget but during the quieter months it is right on point. It is probably a better idea to visit out of season if you are looking to avoid the “GP Rush” and really enjoy the peace and quiet.
The Forest Cottages are earthy, ensuite one bedroom units with either a super comfy sleeper couch or stacking beds in the lounge to accommodate four people in total. There is an outside braai area, and in the well equipped kitchen you will find a pot fireplace – ideal for those looking to visit in crisp winter months.
Keurboomstrand is a picture-pretty little town with white beaches and clear crashing waves. The sunsets as seen from the deck of Enrico's restaurant (a 20 second stroll from Arch Rock) are some of the best you will see in Plett.
A bit close to the upper price range? Yes. Worth it? Most definitely!
