Within walking distance of the famous Wild Oats farmers market, and right on the edge of Sedgefield, you'll be welcomed with warm hospitality at Bird Cottage and Guinea Room - even more so if you're a twitcher.
The owner, Andy, has a special interest in birds of prey and the rehabilitation of injured raptors - hence the name, no doubt. Be nice and Andy might even allow you to touch one of his magnificent charges.
Factoids aside, Bird Cottage comes with double bed, cushy sleeper couch and ensuite bathroom. The lounge has a TV with DSTV connection and the kitchen is fully equipped. The entrance is private and there are braai facilities in the garden.
Guinea Room lies adjacent to the cottage and takes the form of an ensuite room with a double bed and sleeper couch, a comfortably furnished lounge with telly, and a kitchenette with mini stove, oven, fridge and freezer.
Described by a recent guest as a “home away from home”, Bird Cottage and Guinea Room is a good option for that laid-back semi-urban Sedgefield stopover.
