Unsophisticated and down to earth, Grace's Elands Bay holds its own a few steps from the beach.
The two bedrooms (one double and one twin) share a bathroom, and while it sleeps four with relative ease, we'd say Grace's is definitely more suited to a couple or young family on a surf safari, as opposed to a small group of friends.
Kitted with a few pieces of snug stoep furniture, the outdoor braai area is warm and sheltered from the wind - a biggie in these parts.
The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area has all the essentials, including a few board games and books to enjoy in front of the indoor fire.
The finishes and furnishing are rustic and fuss-free – as we would expect from a beach shack.
Pack the kids, slops and boards, and mozy up the West Coast to Grace's.
"A rustic and relaxed getaway. The house is very close to the beach and has an eclectic and rustic charm. We would recommend it! The train that runs through Elands Bay takes a little bit of getting used to. "

"This small little cottage is exactly what my wife and I needed for the long weekend and was perfectly suited to our needs. It can also work with two adults and 2 children, but we wouldn't suggest this to two couples, as the second bedroom only has single beds and is basically inside the bathroom. It's ideally located close to the sea and surf spot."
