Nestled away within the small enclave of Murdoch Valley, midway between Miller’s Point and Simonstown, Lavender Cottage is an ideal base for a small family or a couple looking to explore the east side of the Cape Peninsula.
Recently renovated with modern finishes, a clean and light interior, pale-tint solid wood floors and all the mod cons you’d expect in this neck of the woods, the comfort and appeal of Lavender Cottage couldn’t be better. Now if the interior’s grabbed your interest, let’s get onto the views!
Gobsmacking to say the least, from the expansive wooden deck, you look right out over False Bay, where it’s said that frequent whale and dolphin sightings are likely to disturb your leisurely el fresco breakfast…so be warned.
Taking a scout around in more detail. The cottage has two spacious bedrooms, the main being ensuite to a bathroom with shower and bath. The second bedroom has two three-quarter beds and there is a second bathroom with a large shower.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with Le Creuset crockery, gas hob, electric stove, dishwasher and washing machine. The living area includes some comfortable seating and a wood burning stove for winter. TV and WiFi are on tap. You've also got great ocean views througn the large glass patio doors.
Your wheels are safe with off street parking and the house is fully alarmed.
With the sea only a stone’s throw away (you’ll need to cross one road), there’s great swimming and surfing options on the cards. Simonstown, with its array of interesting shops, restaurants and cafés is a short distance away, as is Miller's Point in the opposite direction. Further afield you’ve got Cape Point Nature Reserve and the entire peninsula to explore without having to battle the crowds...or traffic.
Stylish, modern and in a great location, Lavender Cottage looks to be a real gem, right on the Mother City's doorstep.
