Tucked among the vineyards of La Vierge Wine Estate, which in turn is tucked away in the gorgeous Hemel en Aarde valley, Oak Cottage drops you right in the hub of wine country, with a setting second to none.
More a spacious house than a cottage, this tastefully decorated abode sports all the home comforts one would expect from these elegant surrounds.
Starting with the views, these stretch from your stoep, across the valley, to the Babylon’s Tower mountain. There's a good chance you'll be spending the greater part of your weekend right here.
The house has three spacious bedrooms, with a mix of twin and Queen beds. Each is well equipped with comfortable furnishings and percale linen. All bedrooms are ensuite, one with shower and bath, the other two with baths only.
The living quarters are comfortable and stylishly decorated, with light tinted floors, timber beams and cottage windows. The equipped kitchen is open- plan to an airy living area.
The original voorstoep of the cottage is now a lovely lounge room, with stack doors zipping open to the stoep. As already mentioned, this is the spot to soak it up with a chllled Chardonnay.
Keeping active - if that's your thing - around here is a doddle, with some hikes and mountain bike trails nearby, and Hermanus only 15km away.
All in all a great spot for a group of friends, a family, or for that matter anyone craving a weekend immersion in tranquil surrounds. Looks like a winner in the making.

"Beautiful setting in this stunning valley, feels remote and so tranquil but is actually very accessible. So much bird life. Loved walking in the vineyards and taking in the views. Unusual to have all bedrooms en suite in this range of accommodation, what a treat! Definitely one to recommend and to come back to."

"A lovely, well-appointed cottage in an amazing setting with breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains through the vineyards! Very spacious, yet cosy and homely. The beds are extremely comfortable with lovely new bedding. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality crockery and cutlery and no shortage of serve ware. A hot water issue was attended to promptly and efficiently by the farm manager. We visited as a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mountain bike trails are literally on the doorstep, with the wine farms in the valley in close proximity."
