Settling into this comfy farm number shouldn't prove much of a challenge at all.
For the city-frazzled couple in desperate need of WE time, Old Sam’s Cottage is both cute and cozy, and the wide open circling landscape just the thing to get your sanity rehinged.
Here's a little taste of what you can expect: soothing views from the stoep while you snuggle around the braai; the rustic romance of paraffin lamps, gas fridge and stove; a wood-burning 'donkey' to heat your water; simple but tasteful decor; and, if you really must... free WiFi.
The bedroom comes with double bed decked with crisp linen, and an ensuite modern bathroom with shower. Not much more a couple could ask for...
Apart from 400ha-plus farm to explore, a circular mountain bike trail, a canoe for your private use on the nearby Karsrivier, Bredasdorp 10km away (a few decent restaurants and an interesting museum), and Arniston and its coastline within easy striking distance, you're well catered for. If all else fails, there's that stoep to come back to...
