Ottersdrift Farm spans the banks of the Kars River, 10 kays from Bredasdorp.
For kids and adults alike, the farm has it all: wide open spaces, carp fishing on the river, quiet farm roads for the bikes, kayaks ready and waiting, a swing rope hanging from the old tree...
The cottage itself has been tastefully renovated with light and simple furnishings, clay floor tiles, a modern kitchen and clean bathrooms.
The living areas are spacious and comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen has all you need to whip up those guilt-free holiday feasts. Adding to the gesellig atmosphere is an indoor fireplace.
Stepping out from the living room, you have a lawned garden, calm farm views, a fire pit and plunge pool. What better spot to pass a sultry summer eve?
Like we said, there's no shortage of things to do at Ottersdrift - so better brace yourself. Off the farm there are wine routes, the De Hoop Nature Reserve, The Shipwreck Museum in Bredasdorp (and a few restaurants), and Cape Agulhas at Africa's southern point.

Annemie and her family are the most wonderful, welcoming and friendly hosts who made every effort to ensure myself and my dogs were happy and enjoying our stay.
