Sandy’s Place, situated in Barrydale on Route 62, is a good destination, or stopover, for visitors wishing to unwind and relax far removed from the stress and strain of city life.
Rooms are airy, comfortable with good linen, towels and good lighting, and have shaded patios with furniture.
There's ample parking, a garden and swimming pool, and nice views of surrounding vineyards.
Unit 1 has a bedroom (double bed) with en-suite bathroom. A single bed in the living- and kitchenette area. This unit has braai facilities. All the beds are equipped with all the linen as well as electric blankets. Unit 2 consists of a sleeping area with a double bed, bathroom and little kitchen. Unit 3 as a double bed, en-suite with kitchen and stoepie with a braai. Unit 5 has a double bed. This unit has a full bathroom and the only one with a bath. Also a little kitchen with everything that you might need. Unit 6 has a double bed and a single bed in the same room. It also has a little kitchen and en-suite bathroom. This unit is nearest to the salt-water swimming pool.
Barrydale lies at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, it can be approached from three different directions. Firstly, from the N2 through Suurbraak, secondly, from Montagu (R62) and thirdly, from Oudtshoorn (R62). The small town of Barrydale, established in 1880 retains its timeless country charm and supports a diverse, yet harmonious community of young and old, Afrikaans and English, fruit farmers and artists, long-time residents and newcomers.
