Budget Getaways Review
Country living doesn’t get much much easier than Uitkyk Guest Farm. Oodles of space both in and outside this stylish abode, a lovely pool, plenty to do on the farm itself, soothing views over the Overberg grain fields and Langeberg beyond… Wow!
Before we lose you to life's demands, a quick rundown of the house itself. Lovingly restored, plenty of Oregon flooring, timber beams and clean and simple furnishings, the house sleeps a total of eight - making this a bril option for 2+ families sharing.
Typical of classic SA farmhouses, space is not an issue here. Untypical is the eye for detail. The four Queen bedrooms are decked with quality linen, own TV and full DSTV - now we're talkin'. There are two large bathrooms, each with bath and shower, and another separate guest loo to take up the slack.
The living area consists of a lounge with leather sofas and large flatscreen, a cozy dining area with open hearth and soft views over the garden. The big ol’ farm kitchen is equipped with dishwasher and an indoor fireplace and braai.
Step outdoors and you’re at the swimming pool, with its farmland outlook. Adding to the generous mix is a fire pit and braai spot circled by lawn and pretty garden.
We know, it's gonna be hard separating from the above, but there is plenty do - riding your bike, farm walks, birdwatching, day drives, Swellendam's attractions 25km up the drag....

The housekeeper, who should actually be the hostess is fantastic. It's perfect for families with kids as it's safe and offers many living areas and sufficient space outside for them to run and play."
