Sitting in a quiet rural setting just outside Napier, with an outlook from the voorstoep of pastures dotted with neighbouring farm animals, Riverbend ticks all the right weekend boxes.
The cottage is newly built, spacious and airy thanks to large sliding doors.
Sporting a pair of ensuite bedrooms (a double and twin), it is ideal for either a couple with two kids or two couples sharing. The one ensuite comes with a bath, the other with a shower.
The living area (which has 'Easyview' DSTV) is comfortable and cozy and includes a dining table and a scattering of couches and a wood burning stove to keep things warm in winter. The room opens out via the double sliding doors onto a covered patio.
The kitchen is fully equipped and is open-plan to the living space.
Out back, and protected from the Cape Doctor is another covered patio - nice spot to while away some hours and fire up the braai come early evening.
Apart from hanging out in Napier, which is an easy stroll up the way, the coast is a mere 30 minutes by car - with a choice of Arniston, Struisbaai and Agulhas.
Good news for pet owners, for a reasonable stayover fee Fido is welcome to join you for the weekend.

"Staying at Riverbend Cottage was one of the highlights of our holiday. The cottage and surrounding garden is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean with a lot of nooks and crannies to explore. There is ample space for 4 people. It is hard to describe the magical ambience - best to book this place and discover this little gem yourself!"

"I stayed here with 3 adults and our dog. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were friendly, unobtrusive and a delight to talk to. The cottage is clean and everything you need is there. No matter where the wind/weather comes from you can find a lovely sitting area that is comfortable. It is fenced off so children and doggo's cannot wonder away. I have no complaints and would not hesitate to stay there again."

"We spent the weekend in this wonderful 2 bedrooms cottage in Napier, one with a double bed, the other with 2 single beds. Loads of light through large glass walls looking out over a field with 2 beautiful horses on one side, and 2 very entertaining donkeys on the other. In front was also a very new round natural pool. Delightful owners who ensured we had all we needed. Thank you."
