Here's a real stunner for both Klein Karoo diehards, fishermen, birdwatchers, artists and dreamers.
Whether you’re here to soak up the view or in need of heavy duty R&R, Gumtree Manor ticks all the boxes when it comes to waterside living.

Cantilevered above the Stompdrift Dam (8km from De Rust), on the outside Gumtree is classic riverside shack. Stepping inside, you'll encounter a modern space with as much comfort as you're likely to find back home.
With the dam stretching out in front of you and the Swartberg and Kammanassie Mountains propping up the horizon, this is lazy brunch and sundowner territory.
Poking around the interior, the open-plan living area and fully equipped kitchen form the sociable hub. The tones and furnishings are muted, the fireplace well-appointed.
The main bedroom and it’s ensuite bathroom sit to one side of the living area. A second double bedroom and a third twin bedroom (which share a bathroom) lead off the other side. Both doubles open to the deck.
To the back of the cabin you'll find your screened boma with braai.
Throw a line, paddle a canoe (or even bring your boat along), bird-watch, the dam is yours to enjoy.
A Klein Karoo getaway on the water, Gumtree Manor is something a little different.
