You’d be hard-pressed to find a more central location in Plett ... well, not without shelling out a small fortune.
In our ongoing quest for value-for-money escapes along the coast, Plett Beachfront Accommodation stands out, given its combination of Plett's upmarket ambience with a good dollop of relaxed beach vibe.
Delving into Tripadvisor, the guestbook gushes with satisfaction. “All round greatness.” “Perfect spot and gorgeous room.” “Fantastic value.” And to cap it: ”I’m in love.”
Offering a convenient stop-off on that chilled jaunt along the Garden Route, Plett Beachfront Accommodation is a mere hop (across the carpark) to Central Beach (Plett’s safest swimming beach, if you didn't know) and a number of restaurants literally right next door - including a Spur and the very nice Fat Fish Restaurant.
Zooming into the accommodation, this is located on the building's top floor and is a mix of one Family Room, six Ensuite Rooms and a Dorm Room offered on a B&B basis.
The Family Room is a spacious four-sleeper, with twin or King bed options, and a set of bunk beds for the kids. The bathroom is ensuite and Wi-Fi and DSTV is thrown into the deal.
The six Ensuite Rooms sleep two to four, with the option of twins or two double beds. Again ensuite bathrooms, Wi-Fi and DSTV are included in the package.
Stepping into the Dorm Room, this is more of a backpacker experience, sleeping eight in four bunk beds. The bathroom is shared.
Common to all the above are clean and modern interiors, quality linen and furnishings, heaters, safe’s and lockers in the dorm.
A central lounge area is at your disposal, with flatscreen TV, comfy couches, tea and coffee on tap, and a well- stocked info kiosk.
And no worries about the Kombi being broken into - there’s secure off-street parking behind the accommodation.
Peak season is out of general Budget traveller range, but we've negotiated a special rate for ye low and mid-season country cruisers.
With this combo of great location, helpful and well-informed staff, restaurants and coffee shops in every direction, the beach 50m across the tarmac, this is one of Plett's better options. Try it!
