Budget Getaways Review
This compact and comfortable little cottage sits on the mountain side above Pringle Bay village. While your neighbours are not far off, there’s plenty of privacy, great views of the fynbos-clad slopes and even a distant glimpse of the ocean from the cottage deck.
Sleeping a total of six, the cottage is made up of three bedrooms - a queen, double and twin, making it ideal for a small family or even two couples sharing. (Take note: you’ll need to bring your own linen - duvet inners, pillows and hand towels are provided). There are two bathrooms and a separate loo, as well as a hot outdoor shower for the obligatory rinse after a good session down at the beach.
The living space is made up of an open plan kitchen and lounge area, with a large built-in braai and cozy dining table. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need to self-cater and you’ve got TV and WiFi as well. (Enquire with your hosts about what’s needed to connect). Opening out via sliding doors, the living room leads onto the wooden deck, with umbrella and chairs.
The garden is fully fenced, meaning if Fido’s well behaved, he’s welcome to join the party. There is no off-street parking, so if you’re fussed about leaving the Lambo out on the streets of Pringle, then this one’s not for you.
With the beach just over a kay away and the village centre a little further, the cottage makes a good retreat to head back to during the heat of the day or to relax.
