'Trengwainton' combines rustic, old world charm with modern comforts and a beautiful setting in Hogsback. Trengwainton House and Cottage are architect-designed and decorated with curated collections of art, craft, and books. Both the house and the cottage have verandahs from which you can enjoy sundowners whilst taking in the fabulous views.
Main house - the farmhouse sleeps eight in luxury hotel style beds with crisp linen and duvets. King-sized bathrooms with deep, claw-footed baths, ideal for families and groups. The fully equipped kitchen, with a wood burning stove and a six plate SMEG gas hob and electric oven. The long kitchen table seats 10.
Cottage and Khayalethu - both of these are a beautiful off-grid spot for two, each. With solar electricity, a wood burning fire place, a gas stove and borehole water all your needs are met. It is a place to truly relax and absorb the magic of Hogsback. Enjoy spectacular sunsets or swirling summer clouds and mists from its large verandah with a built-in braai.
If you're feeling energetic, you can run or walk along the bluff alongside Trengwainton, hike or horse-ride in the surrounding Amathole mountains and forests, hire bicycles for dirt road adventures, or go aseiling nearby.
