Fifteen kays from Robertson and tucked at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains on a 12ha tract of fertile farming land, Assegai Rest is a down-to-earth farm escape from your usual humdrum of city traffic and yapping neighbourhood pooches.

Olea is all about R&R for just the two of you, the little timber-clad two-sleeper is aptly named after the wild olive (Olea Europa) tree which protrudes gracefully through the upper deck. The cottage is built on terraced land below Assegai House - the main farmhouse, and commands gobsmacking vistas over the Langeberg Mountains.
The upper and lower level wooden decks make outdoor living in Olea a real treat. That said, indoors really is a treat as well. You've got a comfortable queen bed, a spacious living space with fireplace, an equipped, open-plan kitchen and a loo and shower. All linen and towels are supplied. Back out on the deck, there's a hammock and deck chairs, braai and a wood fired hot tub - Nice!
It get's better through...if the hinterland heat gets the better of you during the summer months, you've got use of a sparkling swimming pool situated mid-way between Lancewood Tipi Lodge and Assegai House.
Apart from a myriad of farm roads, gentle strolls and rural surrounds to explore, Olea makes a uber chill spot for those wanting to hide out for a night or two in gorgeous surrounds. A great setting, super hosts and the perfect bolthole for a romantic weekend.

"Wow wow! Beyond 5 stars. So cosy and tranquil. Suitable for summer (with cute deck outside shower with views) or winter with wood fired hot tub with views. We saw wood peckers and wooley cows and did some stunning walks. Our dogs loved it too. We stayed 3 nights and were sad to go, but we left well rested and hearts and souls full. Thank you guys for sharing this beautiful clean accommodation with us. Highly recommended!"
