Just under 4 kays from the centre of J-Bay, tucked amidst lush gardens on a quiet street, A1 Kynaston might not be right on the sea front, but a short hop, skip and a jump, you’ll have your feet hitting the sand at the surfing beach just down the road.
A relaxed and laid back cluster of self-catering suites and rooms, some offering a glimpse of the Indian Ocean, this getaway has enough accommodation to cater for groups, a few families or even just the two of you if you’re on your own.
Taking a look around, A1 Kynaston offers four rooms and one suite, all have tea/coffee making facilities, TV’s, fans and wifi.
The suite (Sea 4 Ever) is situated on the first floor and is suited to a family with two small kids, has sweeping views of the bay from the deck and is equipped with a kitchenette. The four remaining rooms (The Bird Room, The Flower Room, The Nature Room and The Fisherman’s Room) are a mix of double and queen, with The Bird Room, having an additional two beds for kids. All have private bathrooms, DSTV and WiFi.
If you’re looking for a full-sized house, the enquire about The Gem, a spacious seven-sleeper home situated adjacent to the rest of the accommodation.
Rooms at Kynaston come with the option of a fully-fledged breakfast, served in the central dining area. Breakfasts are charged at R100 per person. (Be sure to book ahead)
Parking is off-street and secure and you’re welcome to chill out in the communal lounge area, garden or even enjoy the braai area which leads onto the sun deck with superb ocean views.
