Budget Getaways Review

A working farm, 7km from Darling, that offers accommodation units and day visits. Children are able to interact with cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, turkeys while other animals like giraffes, eland, wildebeest, and springbok roam around.

The estate is the ideal base from which to visit the surrounding attractions in this part of the West Coast.

The family rooms with have king beds and two single beds in each, with access to a shared pool, kitchen with a fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker.

There's plenty to explore in the area. Darling is is part of the Cape Floral Region and home to hundreds of species of flowering plants. The Darling Museum, in the 1899 Town Hall, traces local history, including the 19th-century butter industry. There's also Ormonde Private Cellar, Groote Post Wine tastings, Darling Museums, !Khwa ttu San Culture & Education Centre, and Duckitt Nurseries. Just outside town, West Coast National Park’s Langebaan Lagoon attracts migrating water birds, like flamingos and white pelicans.
