Budget Getaways Review
Enveloped by the Stellenbosch and Helderberg ranges, Languedoc is a lifestyle farm with a warm, homespun feel.
You have a choice of two very elegant units: the Garden Suite (sleeps 2) and the Paddock Suite (sleeps 2).
Kicking off with the Garden Suite, this is fronted by a pretty olive garden (with resident horses) and deck. Where better to toss back that stiff early morning double espresso? The Queen ensuite bedroom (with shower) boasts lovely mountain vistas. The dining area and kitchen is well equipped - but with all those restaurants and wine estates dotted around you might want to stay out of the kitchen.
Lying about 30m away is Paddock, with its lush private garden and braai area. The bedroom features a King bed (which can be converted to a twin) and the bathroom is ensuite. The well-equipped kitchenette makes self-catering a breeze.
Close to Stellenbosch (6km), yet with farm vibe, Languedoc makes for the best of two worlds.
"I can recommend the place. Very nice!"
(Louise Marais, October 2014)
"We had a stunning 6-night stay in the Languedoc cottage. Di and Garth Perry were very welcoming and very helpful with anything extra that we needed. The cottage was clean and spacious and filled with lovely artwork that Di painted herself. The farm has beautifully kept gardens and it was stunning waking up to the sight and sounds of the three resident horses and the daily greetings from the two farm dogs was great. Very nicely placed in a safe semi-rural area with restaurants and shops about 5-minutes away. I will definitely go back, and happily recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a home away from home."
