A BBQ/braai facility is available for guests to use at Nguni Lodge. Nguni Lodge is ideal as a comfortable base from which to plan day trips to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and other attractions nearby.

Within a half-hour's drive from the property, you can visit the beautiful beaches of Sodwana Bay or the famous Hluhluwe Umfolozi Big "5" Game Reserve. The iSimangaliso Wetland Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is just 10 minute's drive away. The iSimangaliso park’s centrepiece is the vast Lake St. Lucia, home to large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, pelicans and flamingos. Elephants, giraffes and leopards inhabit the grasslands and forests of the nearby Western Shores and Charters Creek areas. To the north, Sodwana Bay is known for its colourful coral reefs
