Pear Tree Cottage is a quiet little couples retreat in the heart of Stormsriver Village just off the N2 - not to be confused with Storms River itself.
The cottage offers a double bed and single sleeper couch, and a bathroom with shower only. The stocked bar fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities are an added bonus.
Your call whether to laze about and take in the lovely setting, or hit the village main street and local eateries, or sign up for one of various adventure activities eg blackwater tubing and zip-lining. Whatever rocks your boat, you'll likely end the day back on the stoep with a braai or a little something whipped up on the outdoor gas stove.
