Here's your opportunity to rub shoulders with a well-known 'hyper-realist' South African artist - and be cosy and comfortable at the same time.
Peter Bonney's Studio Lodge (an annex to his actual studio) is ideally positioned in the hub of Clarens and its comings and goings. And although close to the action, the lovely treed garden provides a soft buffer at the end of a hard day's trawling the village square.
On offer are two most elegant bedrooms - one with Queen bed, the other with twins. As such great for a small family. The bedrooms share a full bathroom. Underfloor heating, quality linen, electric blankets… You'll be cosy as a bedbug.
The living area is open-plan and comes with comfy couches, DSTV and cast-iron slow combustion stove - while not as dramatic as your open fireplace, it's way more effective at warming them frozen tootsies.
The fully-equipped kitchen is a self-catering pleasure (that's if you decide to eat at home), with dishwasher, microwave, etc, all at hand.
The living area opens to the garden and braai area.

"The Lodge was perfect for my wife and two daughters aged 11 and 14 for our three night stay. Although relatively small it suited our needs perfectly. Everything was in easy walking distance. Lodge was very well equipped - kitchen appliances, fireplace, underfloor heating in rooms, heater in lounge/diningroom, electric blankets, one well-equipped bathroom with enough hot water for bathing and showering, quality finishes and linen. We were not looking for a large cottage or house as in our previous visits to Clarens but rather a smaller, more affordable place within easy walking distance - this lodge fitted those requirements perfectly."
