Budget Getaways Review
Situated on a quiet street, within a gentle stroll from the centre of Hermanus. Steenbok House is a first floor, semi-detached four-sleeper, offering plenty of privacy from the main house on the property.
The unit consists of two bedrooms, making it ideal for two couples, or a couple with small children. Both rooms are ensuite to bathrooms with showers. One room has a double bed, while the second has twin beds. The beds are decked out in quality linen, towels are also included.
The living area is open plan to a modern and well-equipped kitchen, which has everything you’d need for self-catering. There’s a round dining table, as well as a sofa and flat screen with DStv to keep you busy.
Downstairs there is a fully enclosed garden, meaning Fido can join you. The garden is private and includes a braai for those balmy summer evenings, post beach.
Steenbok, being fairly central (only 1.7km from Village Square), makes getting to and from town a doddle. Heading out to the many nearby restaurants is easy, as well as walks onto the coastal paths and trails, which are all fairly close by. Further afield, there's the nearby nature reserves and wineries to explore.
All in all, a neat, a modern and uncomplicated option for those looking to be close to town, and within easy reach of all Hermanus has to offer.
"I was very pleasantly surprised by the high standard of fittings snd fixtures at no 1 Steenbok street. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything had been done yo ensure a comfortable stay. Security and privacy were tops, and we really enjoyed the balcony overlooking a bird feeder, the garden braai, and our attentive yet unobtrusive hosts. I can definitely recommend this accommodation for a short or long stay. Thank you for everything."

"We had a lovely stay at Steenbok House. Very close to town centre & beach. Nice sized 2 bedroom flat. Very quiet & peaceful, which is just what we needed. Lovely to sit on the balcony, have a braai and with a great view of the mountain behind. And Hermanus is full of things to do in all seasons. We would definitely love to return here :)"
