Budget Getaways Review
There’s little standing in the way of you and the beach at Wavesong in St Helena Bay. In fact, a short jaunt down the dune path and you’re wriggling your toes in the sand.
Wavesong is a well-appointed home with gorgeous Atlantic vistas from just about every angle. There are three bedrooms, all spacious and decked out in percale linen. The main bedroom is ensuite and sports a balcony with big views. Two additional bathrooms service the rest of the house.
The kitchen is open-plan and equipped with everything you can imagine, including a dishwasher and tumble dryer, while the living area has a fireplace, DSTV, and sliding doors leading onto a sheltered patio and garden.
For the beach gear, bikes and fishing rods… (oh yes, and your wheels), Wavesong has a double garage..
Out and about you’ve got the Golden Mile beach directly to the front of you, a scattering of local eateries down the road, and a good choice of nearby fishing spots to while away those special holiday moments. Paternoster, Saldanha and Langebaan are all within a 30-minute drive should you feel the itch.
Simple, comfortable seaside living, Wavesong will have you barefoot and crooning to that old Beach Boys tape in no time.
"Excellent! A lovely house with good setting. Budget Getaways is always good."

"Ons het 'n week by Wavesong spandeer....heeltemal te kort! Pragtige, goed ingerigte huis. Ek kan Wavesong aanbeveel, vir rus en vrede is dit die plek om te bespreek. Maryna het ons vriendelik ontvang, baie dankie."

"Wavesong is a beautiful house in Shelley Point, practically on a wonderful beach; which is exactly what we wanted. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were great; and there was more than enough living space for my family (including two small kids) to spread out in. The fireplace on the cold winter nights was a lifesaver; and having firelighters and wood on-site was a bonus and blessing on the first night. The DSTV and WiFi were great for giving my wife and I some quiet time. A minor issue was the "spotty" WiFi in the farthest living room because of the positioning of the WiFi router upstairs. And lastly, I love espresso coffee, so wasn't looking forward to having to drink instant coffee; and was therefore instantly in my "happy place" when I saw that there was a Nespresso machine, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's the little things that make an experience and memory special. Thanks for a great experience!"

"We had a lovely holiday at Wavesong. The house was comfortable, very well equipped and clean. It was also 30 metres from the beach which made it so relaxing for our children and ourselves. The sunsets in St Helena Bay are superb."

"We had a most enjoyable stay. The few minor hiccups were solved immediately. It is definitely worth another visit. Even Yorkie had fun exploring the garden."

"A great break away from the city life. Pure relaxation and joy. We loved the panoramic view of the ocean. This is a fantastic destination for quite meditation and just to find yourself again even only for a few days. It is definitely worth it to go back again. Thanks so much for opening your heart and home to us."

"Wavesong" is just the best! We just didn't want to go home and are already looking at dates as to when we can return again. Nicky, you have thought of everything, there is nothing you will need or miss during your visit. Even an honesty jar for wood and fire-lighters is there for your convenience...everything is just so easy. The decor, linen and beds are so comfy and the house is so spacious too. Not a sound to be heard other than the birds tweeting and the sound of the waves crashing. The view from the bedrooms and balcony is breath-taking, especially the sunsets. If you need to get away, this is the place to book, and book it for a few days and not just a weekend.

"The best getaway to forget about the city life. A stunning house situated right on the beach with breathtaking views from every room. Best of all we were able to take our dog with. We can't wait for our next visit to this gem."

"This getaway is the best we've ever been to. This jewel of a house is very spacious, neat and has all the comforts of what we are use to at home. A most beautiful long stretch of beach is just a stone's throw away and the fireplace came in very handy during the winter evenings. It is also much less busier than the other popular places on the West Coast and is in a secure estate which is extremely well maintained. We are looking much forward to going back in December for another few days in heaven. "

"We just had the best weekend at Wavesong! What a pleasure to stay in a house so well equipped with everything you could possibly need as well as having the most comfortable beds. The views from the balcony and bedrooms are spectacular as is hearing the sound of the waves only a few steps away. We loved Wavesong and the bonus was our family dog could join us too!"

"We have just spent a long weekend at Wavesong, and it was everything we needed and expected it to be. The accommodation is really tasteful and comfortable, and the setting is wonderful. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach, and watched beautiful sunsets from the balcony. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is perfect."

"Loved, loved, loved the house - it is so spacious and incredibly well equipped (there's even a whole drawer filled with all kinds of herbs & spices - not something you generally find in a getaway place). Lounging on the balcony with that incredible view and a good book was absolute heaven. It is so quiet and peaceful there (all you hear is the wind, the sea and the birds) that it was quite a shock getting back to noisy Suburbia. Thank you Nicky, we enjoyed every moment in that incredible place."

"We loved this holiday home! It is a large house, seaside decorated, comfortable, with all that one needs, down to the Nespresso machine. The view from all the bedrooms is breath taking & the sound of the waves is music to the ears. Lovely linen on the beds and very comfortable beds makes it a hit with me. I would highly recommend this home."
