Hazyview Snapshot
A shimmering golden haze stretching far across the African plains, backed by birdsong and chirping beetles, it's not hard to imagine where Hazyview got its name. Frequently used as a gateway to Kruger's southern gates, Hazyview has a lot to offer. The sub-tropical climate lends itself to a thriving fruit industry, which underpins the town's economy. Not only does it produce a fine banana, Hazyview also sports hundreds of butterfly, bird, plant and animal species. And then there is the gorgeous setting and outlook over the Escarpment, God's Window and Blyde River Canyon. With a good mix of lodges, guesthouses, self-catering spots, restaurants and coffee shops and loads of outdoor action on the adventure front, it has everything going for it .
