Marloth Park Snapshot
Straddling the banks of the Crocodile River between Malelane and Komatipoort, Marloth Park is the closest you'll come to armchair game viewing. It's a wildlife sanctuary boasting four of the Big Five, as well as an amazing array of birdlife. As such, it's a popular destination among the nature-loving Joburg set. For good reason, too. What beats a visit from the local zebra while sipping on your morning coffee? Or having a couple of buck joining you for dinner. Located right next to the Kruger Park and less than a 30-minute drive from the Maputo border post, Marloth Park offers an accessbile bushveld experience that you might find worth writing home about.
Things To Do
- For your fill of big game, take a drive through the Lionspruit Reserve and tick off buffalo, rhino and lion from your list. Other game roams freely across Marloth's 3000 fenced hectares, so you are bound to enjoy some good sightings during your stay.
- Birdwatch and stargaze from the comfort of your stoep. It's all so accessible at Marloth. Note to self: don't forget the camera.
