Gracing the Elgin Valley, just 17 kays from Grabouw, Krabbefonteyn Farm not only sports relaxed farm accommodation, but makes for a great country venue for that big wedding bash, birthday jol or family reunion with the long-lost cuzzies from Perth.
The folk at Krabbefonteyn offer the whole gamut: a nicely renovated barn, a fully equipped kitchen and function venue, huge outdoor entertainment area, gorgeous gardens, mountain bike and hiking trails.
Come sundown and time to hit the sack, Krabbefonteyn has two spacious farm cottages. Each is privately appointed in soothing surrounds and sleep four apiece.
The cottages have Queen bedrooms and double sleeper couches in the living area. Ensuite bathrooms, indoor fireplace, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, microwaves and fridges come standard. Outside, you've got a full length front patio and braai area.
If you’re hankering after a post-party regmaaker, the communal kitchen at the function venue is available and fully equipped - bring own grub. Failing that, there are coffee shops, restaurants and farm stalls a short drive away.
An easy jaunt from the Mother City, Krabbefonteyn Farm makes a suitable destination for either a small or en masse shindig in the Cape hinterland.
