An old St Francis Bay favourite, Oasis Lodge is a calm and tranquil base overlooking the canals.
A typical thatched cottage, Oasis offers a number of B&B rooms options - all of them opening onto the pretty garden setting. The rooms come in the form of Double Suites, with King, queen or twin-bed options. All have ensuite bathrooms with bath and shower.
The Family Room sleeps four in two bedrooms, the main of these with Queen bed, the second with a double. The bathroom is shared. If you’re coming solo, then the Single Room is for you. It's ensuite with shower, loo and basin.
Common to all the rooms are tea and coffee, TV, heater, fan and bar fridge.
Head into the main lounge, sidle up to a fello traveller and enjoy a drink or two at the bar. There are meals to be had in the main dining room, and a most welcome swimming pool for summer.
The lodge also offers boat trips along the canals, and the local attractions are all close by.
Well-appointed rooms, great breakfasts, hospitable hosts, affordable rates, Oasis Lodge is a sure-fire Budget bet.
"Peaceful, tranquil environment to escape city life. A real wholesome breakfast provided, canal ride was a plus including fresh towels each and every day. Could do with a little more DSTV channels but other than that highly recommended."
