Whether it's to blow the inheritance at Grand West, a wedding up the West Coast, or a comfy base to launch your kite surfing career, Sunset Beach Lodge & Spa could well be for you - a stylish and modern set of B&B suites sleeping 14 total.
Situated a frisbee throw from Sunset Beach near Table View and 15 minutes to the Waterfront (traffic dependent), Sunset Beach Lodge and its views towards Table Mountain and Robben Island is certainly pulling the reviews: “We are staying in Cape Town prior to visiting a couple of safari camps, and we think our trip is off to an incredible start after spending a few nights at Sunset Beach Lodge.”
Looking at the accommodation, this comes in the form of Standard (slightly smaller) and Luxury suites, furnished in modern and luxurious decor, with quality linen and a light and spacious feel aided by large sliding doors zipping open either to balconies (first floor suites) or the pool terrace.
All sport mod-cons such as DSTV, free Wi-Fi, aircon and a well stocked mini-bar. If you’re set on self-catering, one of the suites comes decked with an equipped kitchen.
The Lodge is fully geared to serve tasty dinners and breakfasts in the dining room and bar, plus there's a comfy communal lounge leading to the pool terrace, with convivial boma and fire pit alongside.
Heading up the stairs, there’s a rooftop terrace with yawing ocean views, while back outside you’ve got secure parking and a garden.
Off site, there are plenty of eateries within a short stroll from the lodge, not to mention the beach, which is no more than 50m away.
With bags of comfort, suitable access to the city, an appealing location close to the beach, and varying rates suited to different pockets, Sunset Beach Lodge looks set to rank right up there with the best of the city's budget bunch.
