Budget Getaways Review
Taking a trip to the Mother City and need a comfy pad to hunker down for a night or two? Well then, this might be your spot.
The Empire (unit M006) is right across from Muizenberg’s upbeat beachfront, with restaurants, coffee shops and oodles of surf vibe flowing out the side alleys.
Taking a look at the apartment, the block is centred around an enclosed courtyard area, while indoors you’ve got plenty in the way of space and comfort. What you don't have is a direct sea view, but this is compensated with soothing mountain vistas from the patio.
Layout-wise there's a main bedroom with Queen bed, a separate bathroom with bath and over-bath shower, and a living room that abuts an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast counter.
The lounge is decked with some comfy sofas, a flatscreen and DVD player. It opens out onto a small patio, where you’ll catch those mountain views.
While ideal for a couple, this one-bedroomer comes with an additional double sleeper couch in the living room for two kids, as well as travel cot and high chair for the babe.
Parking is on the street in front of the apartment.
Compact, convenient and within direct strolling distance of the beach action, The Empire is a useful-to-know for those wanting to be on the False Bay side of the city.
"We had a awesome stay. A nice place to get away from the noisy city life. Loved every bit of the apartment, very neat & tidy. I'll give it a 100 for cleanliness. Thanks Carmen for your friendly assistance too."

"The Unit we visited was well furnished and had all the appliances one would need for daily comfort. We had a problem with the hot water and the geyser, but it was soon sorted and the owner and (Renee, agent) was on the ball to keep us in the loop at all times. The Empire is a neatly kept, well secure building."
