Budget Getaways Review

This stylish and contemporary mountain bungalow certainly leaves no stone unturned when it comes to aesthetics. From its bold lines and swathes of bright colour, oodles of style and mountain views that’ll blow your mind, believe us - this place has “wow-factor” written all over it.

Made up of a spacious ensuite double room, the bungalow is ideally suited to a couple, but if you’ve got the kiddo’s in tow, there is the option for them to hunker down on the sleeper couch in the living room. The bathroom is equipped with towels, a shower, loo and basin.

The living room shares it’s space with a beautifully equipped kitchen, this large and easy-flowing area also incorporates a dining room with dining table. There are a scattering of comfortable sofa’s to chill out on, a wood-buring fireplace and a TV.

One of the biggest features of the bungalow are the large stack doors which open out from the living room as well as the bedroom onto an expanse of wooden deck. Out on the deck you’ve got pool loungers, outdoor furniture and a built in area.

The views from both inside and on the deck are bound to knock your sock off. The mountains are ever changing throughout the day, as is the movement of zebra and antelope on the open grassland below the deck.

If you can bear to drag yourself away from this place, you can head out to explore. There are plenty of gravel roads to head off on either by foot or bike, and of course hiking trails galore in the nearby mountains. Tulbagh itself is an interesting historical attraction and has some great galleries, restaurants and coffee shops. Oh, and did we mention a great spread of wine farms to explore?

A great looking getaway, close to the Mother City and in a setting that makes you feel you're in another world. We say BOOK IT!
