Sometime you want a getaway which is right on the water, and this one doesnt get much closer!
Whale View is a two-bedroom self-catering beach-side cottage, right by the ocean. It comes with a full bathroom which has a large comfortable bath, with a rain shower over the bath. The main bedroom has its own toilet with a wash hand basin to make life a little bit easier. The cottage can accommodate four sharing adults or a family in the two bedrooms, each with double bed.
The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine & dryer. A kettle, microwave, and toaster are also included and you can prepare your own filter coffee for breakfast. There's a indoor fireplace/braai for a braai or winter cold nights fun, and sliding doors to the outside. The dining room seats 8 and the living room is nice and cozy.
The cottage also has DSTV channels should you wish to keep up with the sports or your soaps. There's off-street parking for 2 vehicles.
The cottage is situated right on the beachfront with easy beach access via a well-maintained pathway through the natural fynbos is only one house away from the cottage. The cottage is pet friendly (by request) so please enquire beforehand.
Witsand is a small coastal town at the mouth of the Breede River in the Western Cape, South Africa. It is a good rock & boat fishing area both on the river and sea. A number of charter services offer charters on either the river or sea. The bay is widely considered to be the whale nursery of the South African coastline and offers awesome whale viewing. Other marine life like Dolphins, birds, etc. also graces the area in numbers. The town is close to the De Hoop Nature reserve and offers excellent snorkeling and diving with a wide array of marine animals to view. Malgas is a short drive away where you can still cross the river with one of only a few operational ponds in South Africa. Cross the river and enjoy a pizza at the local bush pub or travel further to the town of Cape Infanta.
