Set off a quiet street (is there any other type in Wakkerstroom?) are two well-appointed and private country cottages trading under the name Chetnole.
Claystone and Westover Cottage are simply furnished and decked with quality linen, towels and fully equipped kitchens. Both sleep four in two ensuite rooms (double and twin) and feature comfy living rooms with DSTV, and hearty fireplaces to fend off the Highveld winter chill.
Stepping outside, you’ve got a lovely covered patio and braai area, as well as parking alongside your cosy nook, not to mention those golden grassland views.
As a base, Chetnole is a mere spit from the village centre - amble in for your morning caffeine fix, take in few a galleries, chat to a colourful local or two, this is life as you don't know it.
Fill the afternoon with some birding, a ride on your bike, or a longer walk into the sunset. It's all so easy and accessible.
A simple and comfortable base, with a great location and heaps of space to catch your breath for a day or three.
