Attention to detail and personal touches go a long way in making your experience in a strange place a good one. Being that this principle and generous hospitality is something that Galileo Cottage has taken to heart, you can be sure that your stay there will be something to write home about.
Nestled on a quiet street in the heart of Sutherland, Galileo Cottage is suited to a family of four with its double and twin beds. The kitchenette is fully equipped for self-catering, but you will be treated to some home baked bread, yummy jam, milk and fruit juice on arrival.
Well prepared for the cold snowy nights, you will find electric blankets on all the beds as well as heated towel rails in the bathroom.
Sunny living spaces and a beautiful garden view will make you feel right at home. Anelia will even help you book a trip to visit the observatory, do some night-star gazing or enjoy some of the local fare. If you prefer to stay in, you can light up the braai (fist lot of wood provided) or curl up with a book, a DVD or enjoy a board game and some Hot Chocolate.

"Wow! What a pleasure! Lovely cozy cottage, definitely self catering. Table and chairs for meals. Loads of brochures of the area and things to do. The hostess, Anelia, pre-booked us trips to SALT and to the star gazing in the evening. All the little "extras" were provided. A loaf of freshly baked bread awaits you upon arrival. Braai facilities outside. Electric blankets on all beds, heated rail for the towels, large fridge/freezer. Most importantly, the cottage had a loo separate from the bathroom. All in all a lovely stay, and highly recommended."

"The cottage is cozy, comfortable, very well equipped, clean and neat. The host was extremely kind and friendly and booked tours for us in advance. She suggested places to eat for dinner and gave us other useful information about the area. The personal touches added to the cottage, such as homemade bread and jam, rose petals and chocolates on the bed, orange juice in the fridge and a helpful guide made this a special experience. I can recommend this cottage to anyone who would like to enjoy a self catering stay in Sutherland. "

"Dis een van die mooiste plekkies waar ons nog oorgebly het. Daar is letterlik alles wat 'n mens denkbaar nodig het en Anelia se aandag aan detail is opvallend. Sy het uit haar pad gegaan om plekke te bespreek vir 'n besoek aan SALT en Jurg se sterrekyk. Ons het aandete by haar en Johann se restaurant geeet en dit was uit die boonste rakke. Ons sal defnitief weer daar tuisgaan."
