Budget Getaways Review
Just 500m from the beach in laid back Pringle Bay, this stylish holiday home does indeed bank its good deal of spectacular sunsets. As the name suggests, expect to marvel at the evening skies from the large outdoor entertainment deck…that’s if you’re home of course. With the beach only 600 meters away, you might well be down on the waters edge.
If this is sounding like a good enough reason to get you and your family over to Pringle, then stick with us, we’ll take you for a quick scout around the house.
Behind the house on the same property is the owners' studio flat and garden. You’re assured plenty of privacy and have your own front garden, private entrance and off-street parking, so you can come and go as you please.
Looking indoors at the general layout, on ground level you’ve got three bedrooms, (all doubles). The main bedroom is ensuite with a large and rather lavish full length bath…not a bad place to “desalinate” after a long day at the beach. There are two additional full bathrooms with separate loo's which service the other two bedrooms. If you’re up for el fresco showers, then you’ll love the open-air hot shower, fairy lights and all.
Upstairs is where you catch those aforementioned sunsets. This is the entertainment area, complete with indoor and outdoor braai, a well equipped open-plan kitchen, comfy sofas and wifi. Throw open those doors and head out onto the large wooden deck and you’re in heaven. Mountain views second to none…and, wait for it: a wood-fired hot tub!
Now, keeping busy in Pringle Bay involves good outdoor fun. There’s the beach and lagoon, great hikes in the mountains, some restaurants and nearby wineries. There’s even a craft brewery close by, as well as a Saturday morning market. Nice!
Great accommodation, perfect setting and plenty of comforts. Blimey, you’d better book this one quickly before we do.

"Wow! What a lovely getaway after a hectic year we had. Kate and Don are absolutely fantastic hosts and showed so much concern for my husband's medical condition. Pringle Sunsets is full of amazing character with an upstairs area that was perfect to gather as a family with a variety of boardgames. The deck was amazing to enjoy the sunsets since we were blessed with amazing weather and could even enjoy the hot tub. It was a perfect home away from home. Thank you so much Don and Kate."

"Such a charming house - really full of character and with loads of fun features like the gorgeous bath and fireplace in the main bedroom. Really close to the beach, with lovely views of the mountains. The fridge was a good generous size, which we appreciated as a family. If youve got older kids, this is a wonderful getaway for the family."

"Pringle Bay Sunsets is a self-catering gem, perfect for serenity seekers and big city escapists. Although it's situated hiking distance from the beach, lagoon and an eclectic little hub of shops, you'll find yourself wanting for a reason to leave its breezy embrace. The open plan living area is an indoor oasis. It's packed with ample seating, massive dining table, fireplace, gorgeous kitchen, an exquisite array of board games and a fridge that will have you looking for space in the bakkie so you can take it home with you. And yet the space feels so, so minimalistic. Take a step to the right and you'll find yourself on the stoep, ready to get the fire going in the outdoor hot tub. If all the relaxation gets too much for you, feel free to turn to your electronic devices for some work or play, because the wifi is better than your fibre at home. But most of all, the owners of Sunsets, who live next door are the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Helpful when needed, but amazingly respectful of your privacy and boundaries."
